Kabouter Plop (roughly translated as "Dwarf Plop") lives in a mushroom
with his wife and friends, and is the subject of many Saturday morning
and other cartoons. Overall he is quite popular with the Belgian
children, and there is even a well known song-and-dance, the Kabouter
dance, which is played at pretty much every elementary school event,
and once the music starts all the kids immediately start in with the
correct movements!
In any event, Plopsaland is on the Belgian coast, near the French
border, and proved to be a great outing for the day. Below, the
two kids on the little driving course.
On the roller coasters! On the left, Mark and Lydia (in the VERY
first car, at Lydia's insistence!), while John goes with Lori on the
left (he was really thrilled about this...) Let's just say that
there's a reason why I call Lydia my "roller coaster buddy" and not
John...

Plopsaland...
What better way to finish the day than by running through the fountains?
