Telluride Ski Area, Colorado

Andrew was the "doctor on the mountain" for the day at Telluride (which means that he gets to ski free all day, in exchange for helping anyone who needs medical attention), while Karen, myself, John, Lydia, and Robin (a friend) donned our trusty snowshoes, took a free gondola up the mountain, and then took the path less traveled down.

Down the mountain, beneath the gondola on which we rode up.  In front is Robin, with Karen behind (hauling
the sled), and Lydia enjoying the ride in the sled.
John walked the whole way down, wearing dinosaur snowshoes.  A few of the more good natured people would
get very scared from seeing these big dinosaur footprints in the snow, which John thought was great!

The path we took down the mountain, underneath the gondola posts.

After coming down the mountain we had a bit of time before our dinner reservation, so we decided to
try inner tubing!  We'd get a pull part way up the mountain, jump in a big inner tube, and come
sliding down the mountain like a bunch of maniacs, totally out of control, until we started up the
hill at the far end.  Here are Lydia and Karen starting their mad descent.  John came down with me,
but let's just say that, given his reaction, we didn't even suggest to him that we do it again...

New Year's Eve dinner in Telluride itself.  On the left, starting from nearest to the camera, are Andrew, Robin,
Mark (me), Angie, Robin, David, Lydia, Heather, John, and Karen.

Taking the gondola back home, after a great day and evening.
