Chateau de Veves

Last time that Tabitha visited Belgium, she really wanted to visit a castle, but it just didn't work out, so this time we made sure that we planned in a castle trip.
We had a carefully planned day, visiting two castles, starting with the Chateau de Veves (though, as we will see, the best laid plans of mice and men...)

The coat of arms for the castle

The castle courtyard
A word to the wise - it is not a good idea to run around the courtyard on a cold morning...
especially not with your hands in your pockets...
Or else...

The results of an unplanned, exciting trip to the Dinant hospital emergency room!
John was bored, running around the castle grounds, and tripped.
Of course, since it was a cold morning, he had his hands in his pockets, so he couldn't break his fall.
So he fell on a stone, right on his head....
Good thing he has a hard skull!!!!
