The old Colorado mine

After the wedding we visited an old Colorado mine, where they used to mine silver and other precious ores.
The mine is inactive now, but open for tours.

Inside the mine - we learned all about hard rock mining techniques,
dynamiting techniques, the danges of the mine - it was really quite fascinating!



Afterwards we went panning for gold - let's just say that I still had to go back to work after this exercise!
