Green Pastures

The Green Pastures school was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Mutinda (below left) when they were unhappy with the quality of the local schools for their own children.  Now it is a full primary school with over 300 pupils (~60 are sponsored via the Giraffe project) and an important ministry to those in the slums.

that it was her summer vacation...

At Green Pastures we had three main projects - the establishment of their computer room with 22 computers, the transformation of an unused yard into a vegetable garden, and the creation of a brand new library, spurred on by a donation of books from Belgium and England.

Does this look like a good spot for a garden?

How to make a library, in three easy steps!
The bookshelves and desk in the finished library were all handmade, to order, by a local carpenter - imagine what it would cost to have that done in Europe or the US!
