Special Scenes from Kenya
Me and Denise, hard at work...
For the computers, we had UPS with UK/Kenyan plugs, but the computers
were all Belgian, so we took Belgian splitters and put a UK end on them!
Unfortunately we had about 60 of them to do - and what better thing to
do during a power outage!
On the left - the picture with a flash. On the right - how it
really looked (note the candle)
Stephen Ngugi (left, with
Annelie). On the right, in Stephen Ngugi's home (he was very
proud to host us)
Stephen started the
beadcraft group and
is active with a number of the schools
On the left, John and Cliff, the child he supports. On the right,
Lydia (seated next to Maureen), the child she supports.
A banana flower! The Bananas grow on the stalk above the flower.
