We visited the Soca river valley, a picturesque portion of Slovenia,
known for its rafting, kayaking, hiking, and other outdoor
opportunities.
As in Colorado, the lure of the river proved too strong for Karen to
resist, so we suited up in our wetsuits (which we needed, given the
water termperature!)
And off we went into our raft, down the swiftly flowing Soca river!
We all jumped into the water (which was freezing at first, but the
wetsuits made a HUGE difference) and, in general, had a great time.
Our campsite, on the xxx river (a tributary of the Soca)
The next day we drove out of Slovenia, up a scenic mountain road and
over this pass (near the Italian/Austrian/Slovenian border)
The views were beautiful and we were very glad that we had chosen this
route
Which way do we go?
