Joe and Susan Reisert visit

While Mark was on an unexpected trip to Japan (see photos), Mark's high school friend Joe Reisert was visiting with his family.  They had spent a semester in London several years ago and came to visit us then (see photos), and we also wended our way up to London to see Joe (after Susan and the kids had returned to the US, see photos).

This year Joe was on a sabbatical from his teaching position at Colby College and they decided to pull their kids out of school and travel Europe for three months, starting with the a trip on the Queen Mary II from New York to England, then on to Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, etc - you can see their entire journey and blog here.  While they were in Belgium they stopped by for a few days, and the first joint trip was to Boudewijn park, a dolphinarium outside Bruges (see other photos).

On the whale ride - Joe (in the sunshine, with his hand blocking the sun) and John up front,
Margaret and Lydia behind, the Karen and John.

On the bumper cars - we think they had fun!
