Cinque Terre, Feb 2008

We traveled down to Milan, Italy to see friends Silvia and Stefano (see photos of our shared adventures) and to visit the Cinque Terre, a beautiful area of Italy known for its little villages and the walks between them.  We had been to this area once before (see photos) and loved it - we were very much looking forward to visiting again!

A view from where we stayed at sunset.

Below, some towns and scenes from the area.  We walked between the towns and just generally enjoyed the scenery.
Corniglia, only accessible by foot or by boat
Vernazza, a little further up the coast

One of the well maintained trails, carved into the mountainside

Of course, what would Italy be without good food?
And, in this area at least, good food means FOCACCIA!
