Karen's Uncle Norman and Aunt Penny come to visit

Our second set of visitors, Karen's Uncle Norman and Aunt Penny, who spent a weeks holiday in Belgium and toured Mechelen for a day with us.  First order of business was to visit downtown Mechelen (right on the Grote Markt) for some lunch and some of those wonderful Belgian beers!  Then off to walk around the city and to show them our new house (before we'd moved) - that's a photo of all of us on the Dijle, a canal/river which runs right through the middle of town.  John was quite pleased about this picture - that's him lying on the ground at Karen's feet...

   

Bedtime!  John was quite happy to have visitors - he even asked Aunt Penny to read him his books before bed (that's quite an honor!)
