One of the first things we did was the Legoland traffic school, where
the kids get to ride around for 20 minutes or so and need to obey all
the traffic rules (roundabouts, traffic lights, stop signs, etc).
This is only open for children 7 and up (so we said that John was 7)
and is VERY popular, so we made sure to go by first thing in the
morning. John loved it - he thought this was the greatest thing -
and, at the end, he even got his own driver's license!
You'll notice that the cars each have a little flag - each child is
marked with a flag to indicate their native language - so the entire
time, someone is calling out instructions in about 5 different
languages so that all the kids could understand (Danish, Swedish,
Norwegian, and German were the most popular, with the occasional
English or Dutch or French speaker thrown in).

Lydia was too young for the
traffic school, but there was another area set up for
kids her age, which she rather enjoyed.
