Randboldal museum

Just outside the small town of Randboldal there is a little museum about life in the area 50-100 years ago.  Among other things, there are exhibits on paper making, spinning wool, weaving, and, largest of all, on water - specifically on how to transport water from place to place, especially how to raise or lower its level.

Here is Lydia by one of the outdoor exhibits - a standard pump system for raisng water, together with a sandbox.  Other areas had a series of locks and some toy ships would could travel up and down the locks, water wheels, a well with a bucket for raising the water, etc.  The kids loved playing out here!
