Lom

X:Lom is a rather pretty little town nestled in the heart of the Norwegian fjord country.  We stopped off here briefly for groceries and lunch and found it quite charming.

The river below runs right through town - it is a classic glacial river.  Spring came late in Norway in 2005, so the river's cresting was just about the start of July (right when we were there).  The variation in the flow of the river is quite dramatic - at its low in March or so, the flow is ~1.1 cubic meters per second, whereas at it height, it is more like 70!
